Free Training and Support for Cultural Competence

Cultural competence in health care is defined as “the ability to effectively deliver health care services that meet the social, cultural and linguistic needs of patients.” Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) is committed to providing culturally competent care by offering free training and support to providers and their staff.

Access the Cultural Competency Training Job Aid for resources. As a requirement for the Medicaid program, we have added a Cultural Competency training indicator to our provider directories.
