Do You Have a Therapy Patient Waitlist or Aren’t Accepting New Therapy Patients?

We are currently reaching out to Medicaid providers who offer physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) members. It is important for us to know if any therapy providers:

• Have BCBSTX Medicaid members on a waitlist to receive services due to therapists not being able to initiate treatment promptly after receipt of authorization (i.e., within 3 to 7 days) and/or at the frequency determined by the patient’s care assessment.
• Are no longer accepting new patients.

In either of these situations, please email your waitlist (include the BCBSTX Medicaid patient’s information) in a HIPPA-compliant manner to TexasMedicaidNetworkDepartment@bcbstx.com.
