Free Diabetes Education Classes for Members

To support our members with diabetes, we've partnered with Albertsons^® Market, Randalls^® and Tom Thumb^® through our Living 365^® program to offer in-person Diabetes Education Classes August 2019 through October 2019.

The classes are available to members at no cost and include:
 

• A "Healthy Eating" grocery store tour led by a registered dietitian. During the tour, members will learn about counting carbohydrates, types of fat, reading food labels, better food choices, new ways to prepare a cultural diet and much more.
   
• A discussion on diabetes led by a registered pharmacist including Rx/OTC medicines, diabetes clinical guideline products, monitoring blood glucose/weight and incorporating physical activity into their lifestyle.
   
• An opportunity to engage with a dietitian and pharmacist during the question and answer session.
   
• Free educational materials —​ including a diabetes booklet, tote bag and water bottle.

Each eligible member can bring one guest. Please share this letter and flier  with your clients and encourage them to register for one of the classes today. Class dates, times and locations are included in the flier.
