Update: Consumer Choice Plan Disclosure Statement for Small Groups

Due to new Texas State regulations, we are required to provide an updated Consumer Choice Plan Disclosure Statement   (HMO disclosure statement) to employer groups that offer a Consumer Choice HMO plan. This excludes G665ADT, which is considered a non-consumer choice plan.

We’re delivering the disclosure statement to small groups with HMO consumer choice plans as follows:

• Groups with Dec. 1, 2021, renewal dates received the disclosure statement by email last week. Please see the Sept. 29 issue of News from the Blues for Producers.
  
• Groups with Jan. 1, 2022, renewal dates will receive the disclosure statement in mid-October.
  
• Groups with renewal dates on or after Feb. 1, 2022, will receive the disclosure notice with their renewals.

You can help your groups meet their requirements:

• Any time an employer group adds or changes an HMO plan, they will need to submit the HMO disclosure statement with their Application for Amendment.
  
• The HMO disclosure form is not required for employer groups that don’t change their HMO plan offerings.
