BCBSTX Members Impacted by Conduent Cyber Incident

As you may know, in mid-January 2025, Conduent discovered that they were the victim of a cybersecurity incident. Conduent is a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas third-party service provider that offers mailroom, payment and other back-office support services.
What you need to know: BCBSTX systems were not impacted by this incident. However, because of our relationship with Conduent, BCBSTX members were impacted by Conduent’s incident.
What's next: Conduent will provide notification letters to impacted group members. We do not yet have a date from Conduent for member notification letters. Impacted individuals will be offered one year of free credit monitoring, unless a longer time frame (such as 18-24 months) is required under state law or otherwise required. The monitoring enrollment process will be detailed in the letter. Conduent will have a call center to address BCBSTX questions once member notifications begin mailing.
BCBSTX takes this situation seriously. We will support members and help them navigate through this incident.
