On average, an employee with heart disease may cost their employer over a week of absences and $1,100 more 
on lost productivity each year than employees with controlled blood pressure. What’s more, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notes that only one in four adults with hypertension have their blood pressure under control.

Livongo is a consumer digital health company that provides an end-to-end hypertension management program by combining a connected blood pressure monitor with personal support from certified hypertension coaches. Member Eligibility
To support the program, Livongo will receive a weekly file of eligible members. BCBSTX screens prior claims to identify members with diabetes and/or hypertension and provides only those members to Livongo. Members without prior claims can self-identify as having a covered condition when they enroll in the Livongo program and will be subsequently included in eligibility files.
