MedsYourWay^® Available for Fully Insured Group Plans June 1, 2023

As previously mentioned, MedsYourWay is a new program that does an automatic real-time, behind-the-scenes price comparison on select drugs, so members pay the lower available price between a participating drug discount card or plan cost-share amount.

What’s new: MedsYourWay is currently available for most Fully Insured Group Plans in Texas (BCBSTX) with Prime Therapeutics^® as the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).

Starting Jan. 1, 2024, regardless of renewal date, it will be implemented for Cost Plus, Blue Balance Funded^SM and ASO Group plans with Prime Therapeutics as the PBM.

Employer and member fliers will be available soon. Reach out to your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas representative with any questions and to ask about the fliers.

MedsYourWay is administered by Prime Therapeutics, LLC, a separate pharmacy benefit management company contracted by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) to provide pharmacy benefit management and related other services. In addition, contracting pharmacies are contracted through Prime Therapeutics. The relationship between BCBSTX and contracting pharmacies is that of independent contractors. BCBSTX, as well as several independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans, has an ownership interest in Prime Therapeutics. MyPrime.com is an online resource offered by Prime Therapeutics, LLC.
