BCBSTX Negotiating New Contracts with Allergy Partners
Applies to all groups
We received a termination notice from Allergy Partners, a nationwide allergy and asthma group with 15 providers in Texas serving 11 locations. The group plans to leave our networks on Sept. 30, 2023, unless we agree to its demands for higher rates.
We hope to reach an agreement with Allergy Partners that protects our members’ access to quality care at affordable rates. We want agreements that offer fair and sustainable pay to the doctors who serve our members.
Why it matters: If we don’t reach an agreement, Allergy Partners will leave these networks as of Sept. 30, 2023:
Continuity of care: Continuity of care means our patients may receive care at in-network rates with Allergy Partners even if they leave our networks. Members who are pregnant or being treated for a disability, acute condition or life-threatening illness may qualify as a continuity-of-care patient. Members can call the Customer Service number on their member ID card to learn if they qualify.
Locations: Allergy Partners has practices in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Frisco, Garland, Kerrville, Longview, Plano, Round Rock, Rowlett and Tyler.
Caring for our members: If Allergy Partners chooses to leave our networks, we will do everything we can to help members move their care to quality, cost-effective, convenient in-network doctors. Members have several ways to find in-network care:
