When initiating a Medicare Plan quote in BAPSM, it’s critical that you select the correct effective date. The effective date can be modified in the first box in BAP, but if left unchanged, it defaults to Jan. 1. If the effective date is not adjusted, you will need to navigate the process of changing the date after the fact.
Why it matters: This small step can make a big difference in a client’s experience and can help avoid administrative complications.
