Member Onboarding and Education Journey Emails in 2025
The new year brings a revamped onboarding journey that will give new and returning members a foundation of knowledge on which to use their coverage.
Email 1: Welcome to Your ID Card (HMO, POS, PPO)
This email provides members the ins and outs on how to use their member ID card and what their options are if they lose it. Information is personalized to the member’s plan type.
Call-to-action buttons send members to a personalized landing page with a SMART video that is unique to them.
Email 3: Meet Your Plan Type (HMO, POS, PPO)
Each email is specific to the plan type (e.g., primary care provider requirements, if applicable).
Email 4: Behavioral Health
BAMSM shows a wide range of behavioral health benefits. We focus on the Mental Health Hub, MDLIVE®, and how to find a licensed therapist or psychiatrist through Provider Finder®.
Email 5: Dental (sent only to members who are enrolled in BlueCareSM Dental)
This email helps members understand their dental benefits, how to find an in-network dentist and how to prepare for a dentist visit.
Beginning in February, emails will be sent on a monthly cadence to new and returning members. The email series will be sent to new members only from March through September.
