By the Numbers: Form 1099s Were Mailed by End of January
Here is everything you need to know about Form 1099s from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas.
- Annual 1099s are sent to producers who receive commissions directly from BCBSTX.
- If you receive commissions via an agency or another producer, the agency or producer will provide you with your 1099.
- Annual 1099s are mailed by the end of January to the addresses BCBSTX has on file.
- If you should have received a 1099 directly from us but haven’t, please email us and include your Producer ID number. We will send a copy by email.
- The 1099 amount should match the year-to-date total shown on your Nov. 30, 2024, commission statement. (The Dec. 31 commission statement is not used to determine the annual 1099 total. This payment is paid in January for the new calendar year.)
- If you have multiple Producer ID numbers under the same Tax ID number, only one 1099 will be issued with the total YTD commissions earned for all Producer ID numbers that received commissions.
- If you have a negative balance on your Nov. 30, 2024, commission statement that has not been paid prior to Dec. 31, 2024, the 1099 amount will equal the Nov. 30 YTD commission amount plus the negative balance.
If you have questions about your 1099, please email us.
