Special Enrollment Training Required to Sell Individual ACA Policies
Expected SEP sales growth: You can help those who’ve lost their group coverage apply for individual qualified health plans. Losing minimum essential coverage is a qualifying event that allows consumers to apply for ACA policies via special enrollment.
Training required for comp: Due to the complexities around special enrollment, we require writing producers to complete our annual special enrollment period (SEP) training and affirm completion to be eligible for compensation of off-exchange SEP sales.
It’s not too late: If you haven’t taken the training, download and review it today . Follow the steps on pages 50-51 to submit your training affirmation. If your affirmation date predates an SEP application submission date, you or your agency will be compensated.
